Nursing
Program
Applications are currently available for Piedmont Technical Education Center nursing class which is scheduled to begin in late August 1978. Since several steps are involved in the acceptance procedure, it is recommended that interested persons begin the process immediately. Adults of any age as well as high school juniors or seniors may apply for the program. The applications and information may be received by contacting Piedmont Technical Education Center or by seeing a high school guidance counselor. In addition, applicants will be given a test for basic skills and required to have an interview with members of the nursing staff. A dental examination report must also be filed with the school. All of these steps must be completed by March 15. No applications will be accepted after that date.
There is no tuition charge to residents of Orange, Madison, Culpeper or Rappahannock Counties. However, the cost for books, uniforms, and other expenses is approximately $350.00. Only 20 applicants can be accepted so it is very important to apply early.

Kenneth Glen Bussey, sonin-law of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Leighty of Flint Hill has been named to Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
Bussey is a psychology major in his senior year at Tusculum College, Greeneville, Tenn. He serves as treasurer of the Photography Gub and is a member of Gamma Beta Phi and past member of the campus Election Commission. He also serves as the College's representative on the Tusculum Town Board of Mayor and Commissioners.
