To the editor: How to save the County, keep it beautiful, rural and agricultural. Go back to God and the Ground. Let the Farmers and the property owners run the County, do not depend on the Federal and State Government for their handouts,

To the editor: The citizens of Rappahannock should be made aware of what is in store for Harris Hollow. There are many questions about this project and thanks to the members of the Board of Zoning Appeals the citizens have another opportunity to be heard. I would like to address one problem which will affect the people of the Town of Washington, and the people living on Harris Hollow Road. The Developer tells us that he needs to generate between 120,000 to 150,000 rides per season on his Alpine slide in order to be successful. They calculate 2.4 people per car. Therefore the slide alone will generate 50,000 cars per season. The slide would be open on weekends before and after the summer season and every day during the summer. Conservatively, 500 cars will travel up and down the Hollow every day or a car up or down every 30 seconds.
It will be very peaceful on weekends when the motorcyclists are coming and not to mention the air pollution.
Come to the hearing January 12th at 7 p.m. at the Courthouse.

To the editor:
I would like to add an article to the Rappahannock County News. This concerns all the people that come to court just to hear someone else’s case every time a trial comes up.
There are some who are going to trial now. Maybe they will see how it feels to face everyone there. After they come to trial one time and face all the people of Rappahannock County for a crime they have committed, they won’t be going around saying "1 told you so.”
Also they won’t be so anxious to come to court to see and hear other people’s business.
