and Natalie Swindler Well, we hope that everyone had a nice Christmas vacation and all are ready to get back to work. We would also like to thank the teachers for the play they presented, "The Night Before Christmas”, and Kim Gilkey, who directed it. The play was greatly enjoyed by the students. The time that everyone loves is coming up...EXAMS. When students hear the word exams, they seem to be shaken. They are not that bad if everyone studies. So, get out your books and notes and study.

To Speak
Dr. Wayne Thompson of Alexandria will be the speaker at the Gid Brown Bible Church for special services January 7. He is a native of Falls Church and was graduated from Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C. He is presently the pastor of the Engleside Baptist Church in Alexandria.
Dr. Thompson served with the U.S. Marine Corps for two years. In his ministry he had held pastorates in Luray, Maine and North Carolina and travelled extensively, including visits to Laos and Thailand.
He serves on the Board of Trustees of the World Baptist Mission, Good News Mission. The public is invited to attend the services at 7 p.m. at the Gid Brown Bible Church located on Route 622 near Washington. The pastor is John K. Burke, Jr.

Rescue
On December 23, the Flint Hill Rescue Squad took Miss Addie Boyd from her home in Flint Hill to the U. Va. Hospital in Charlottesville. On Dec. 24, this unit carried Dennis Colvin from his home in Flint Hill to Culpeper Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Ethel Lillard of Flint Hill was taken to Warren Memorial Hospital on Dec. 25 by this unit; which also responded to an accident on Rt. 211, but services were not needed.
On Dec. 28, the Sperryville Rescue Squad took Mrs. Marie Jenkins from her home in Sperryville to Warren Memorial Hospital. On Dec. 29, this squad took Walter Jenkins from his home near Sperryville to Culpeper Memorial Hospital. On Dec. 30, the Flint HilT unit transferred Mrs. Bradley Atkins from the Tower in Charlottesville to Culpeper Memorial Hospital and the Sperryville unit took Richard Timbers of Woodville to Culpeper Memorial Hospital where he was DOA and then on to Geest Funeral Home.
On Dec. 31, the Sperryville unit took Harriet Jackson from the home of Ruth Rankins in Sperryville to Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
