Terhune
Mrs. Frances G. Terhune of Viewtown died at her home May 27, 1978 after two years of cancer illness.
Born in Dupont, Pa. July 4, 1903, she was the daughter of Elmer Prospes and Minnie Harrison Gager. Mrs. Terhune was valedictorian of the women's class of 1928 Penn State University. She was an active member of the Amissville Baptist Church, having taught an adult Bible class for ten years.
Survivors include her husband, Herman R. Terhune; twin daughters, Mrs. Joann G. Hanson of Lanham, Md., Mrs. Virginia R. Bruton of Bowie, Md., a son. Stephen John Terhune of Bowie and six grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Wednesday at the Amissville Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. J. S. Stirman, pastor of the church, and the Rev. Richard Krueger, pastor of Ringwood Batpist Church, Ringwood, N. J. The Rev. Koy Petersen offered a prayer. Interment was in the church cemetery.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers, that a remembrance memorial may be made to the ftind for New York Mission of Jews, P. O. Box 123, Peter Stuyvesant Station, New York, N. Y.
