Future development and having an opportunity to ask questions, the audience was divided into two workshop groups and instructed to give written responses to:
— What kind of place should the Park be?
—What problems do you see facing the Park in the future?
—Should the Park be changed?
The workshop groups were encouraged to discuss answers among themselves under ground rules that forbade debate and at the end of the discussion, after listing group responses on large sheets of paper hanging from easels, group members were instructed to list what ihey felt were the ten most important points brought up.
