The Flint Hill Methodist Women’s Society will meet Monday, July 17, at the home of Mrs. Pete Jenkins in Flint Hill at 7:30 p.m. Mrs. G. W. Shaffer, who has been the houseguest of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. Raney, for the past Five weeks, was accompanied to Virginia Beach on Monday by Mrs. Raney, Kevin, Jennifer and John Arthur where she will visit her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Shaffer. After a visit of several weeks, she will return to her home in Pensacola, Fla. Guests of Mrs. Frank Spalding for several days were her sister-in-law, Mrs. W. J. Kendrick of Roanoke, and Mrs. Kendrick’s grandson, David Kendrick of Rural Retreat.

Michael Corbin and friend of Hartwood called on his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Foster, Sunday afternoon.

Gary Smoot, James Bywaters and Jimmy Bywaters are camping this week at Camp Rock Enon in Gore.

Sunday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Huff included their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kinsey and Keith of Front Royal, Miss Sallie Lillard and Miss Ellen Mustoe.

Dr. and Mrs. Edgar Browning of Charlottesville, who have recently returned from their positions as visiting professors at UCLA in Los Angeles, Ca., for the past year, were the weekend houseguests of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John S. Browning. Additional Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Browning were their son, John B. Browning of Charlottesville, and Mrs. Browning's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Kay of Springfield.

Mrs. Charlie Lillard returned home Wednesday evening after spending several days with her daughter and granddaughter, Linda Haney and Sharon, in Alexandria.
