The RappahannockRapidan Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Council has received notice that special federal funds will be granted for the development of a plan for a total medical emergencj system in Planning Districl Nine during the coming fiscal year.
A total of $19,606 has beer slated for emergency medical services planning ir Culpeper, Fauquier Madison, Orange, and Rappahannock counties.
These funds are part of i total grant of S303.0S0 made to the Virginia Federation ol EMS Councils by HEW foi districts 9, 10, and 16.
The RappahannockRapidan EMS Council was incorporated in April 1978 tc promote improved service through planning, cooperation and teamwork.
Rescue squads, hospitals, medical, and nursing societies as well as citizens make up the council.
