In other action, the Supervisors adopted a resolution proposed by Rappahnnock Lions Club president Howard Holschuh, declaring October 7 World Lions Service Day in the county. Holschuh reported that the Club planned to tackle refurbishing work at the Recreation Center outside of Washington as a service project.
The Board also agreed to advertise Ian Pryde's Blue Rock farms rezoning from conservation to residential subdivision for public hearing at the next Supervisor meeting. In addition, the Supervisors formally approved the Planning Commission's request for help on the county's mandated comprehensive plan from the RappahannockRapidan Planning District Commission.
