On a second application, the BZA members voted uanimously to issue a special use permit to Camille Harris, director of Sursum Corda School, to operate a school and day care center for children in a house on Route 626 just outside of the town of Washington in the Tiger Valley. The permit was granted for two years, contingent upon Health Department approval that will limit the number of children to be served.

In other business, the BZA voted unanimously to extend trailer permits for Raymond and Rosie Hitt, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dermitt and Sgt. Raymond Brown.

On a final item, the Board requested McNear to send copies of all special use permit applications to each BZA member before the Zoning Administrator mails a copy of the approved permit to the applicant. "Then we can get it solved early if there is a problem,” Forward commented.

Lions Council

Phil Button, former president of the Rappahannock Lions and current chairman of zone two. region four Advisory Council for the Virginia Lions Clubs, conducted his first meeting at the Hampton Inn on Tuesday. September 12. Present were club presidents and secretaries from Brandy Station. Culpeper Dawn, Culpeper Host. Culpeper Midday, Fauquier, Warrenton and Rappahannock. Rappahannock Lions were represented by president Howard Holschuh and secretary Bob Ingle.

Musical Program

The Men’s Chorus of Little Forest Baptist Church, Stafford, along with the Macedonia Men’s Chorus, will present a program at Macedonia Baptist Church, Flint Hill, Sunday, Sept. 24, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
