Corbin Dies
After Crash
Bobby Lee Corbin of Flint Hill died Tuesday in Warren Memorial Hospital. Corbin was involved in a singlevehicle traffic crash Monday night. An autopsy was performed Wednesday to determine the cause of death.
Corbin was driving a '73 Ford pickup south of Flint Hill on Route 522 when he ran off the road, through a fence on the Roland Welch property, proceeded several hundred feet, struck a small tree, went over its top and came to rest in a creek bed, according to Trooper H. A. Newlin. Corbin was cited for driving while intoxicated and reckless driving. Other traffic incidents included a crash Friday night on Route 662 near Huntly when Paul Barber of Flint Hill in a late model Volvo lost control of the vehicle, struck an embankment and flipped over, according to Newlin. He too, was cited for driving under the influence. Keith Roberts of Flint Hill operating Plymouth going west on Route 211 Saturday night ran off the road, across the median into the eastbound lane. He was charged by Trooper Newlin for driving under the influence and reckless driving.
