Poe-Marts
Mr. and Mrs. Sherman L. Poe of Mt. Vernon announce the marriage Nov. 13 of their daughter Norma Jean Poe II to Jay Lynn Marts of Kansas City, Mo.
A wedding reception was given Dec. 11 in the Christian building of the Washington Farm United Methodist Church, Alexandria. Hosts were the bride’s parents, the Rev. and Mrs. Joe Tate, and Mrs. Marts’ Prayer Past Partners.
The bride wore a white gown trimmed in blue and carried a matching bouquet.
A graduate of Mt. Vernon High School, Mrs. Marts attended Longwood College, Farmville, last year and is now a student at George Mason Community College. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Julia Poe of Amissville.
