her hair. The maid of honor was Miss Donna Stover, whose gown was cranberry velvet. Bridesmaids, in green velvet gowns, were Miss Tamara Brown and Miss Joan Frazier. All of the attendants are from Amissville and their gowns were of the same design and were made by Mrs. Betty O’Connor of Amissville.
Tiffany Burke, the bride’s niece, was flower girl. Her blue velvet gown was like that of the Matron of Honor. Curtis Settle was ringbearer for his sister.
Perry Breeden was best man for his twin brother and ushers included David Breeden, Wilbur Glascock and Alan Miller. Junior ushers were Rusty Settle and Roger Breeden. All are from Amissville.
The bride’s mother wore a gown of green quiana and Mrs. Breeden chose a light blue knit gown. Both had corsages of white carnations.
A reception followed in the church social hall. Mrs. Mary Talley served the fivetiered cake and presiding at the punch bowls were Mrs. Maxine Hutton of Amissville and Mrs. Vee Hughes of Arlington, aunts of the bride and bridegroom, respectively. Mrs. Katherine Heflin and Mrs. Betty O’Connor assisted with the reception and Mrs. Phyllis Judd was coordinator of the wedding. All are of Amissville.
For traveling the bride chose a cranberry pants suit with a white orchid corsage. After their wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Breeden are making their home in Amissville.
Pre-nuptial parties included a shower given by members of the choir of the Amissville Church and the bride's mother was hostess for a luncheon for the wedding attendants, Mrs. Judd and Mrs. O’Connor.
Watch Night
Service
There will be a Watch Night service at Five Forks Baptist Church, Sunday evening Dec. 31 from 8 p.m. til midnight. There will be a film showing from the Bob Jones University of North Carolina, a special speaker and special singing. Everyone is welcome to attend this service.
