Weakley
A funeral for Mrs. Betty Ann Weakley of Nethers was held Sunday at Geest Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Peter Burkett, with burial in the Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper.
Mrs. Weakley, 82, died Friday, December 22, 1978 at the University of Virginia Hospital, following a brief illness. A native of Rappahannock County, she was the daughter of the late Pierce E. Jenkins and the late Carrie Lee Fincham. She was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church at Nethers.
Program
The Rappahannock County Library will help celebrate the New Year with a special program on India scheduled for Thursday evening, January 18.
Mrs. Lawrence Manwaring, who spent two years in India while her husband was a special consultant to the Food Corporation of India, will give a presentation on the country’s people and their culture highlighted by two professional color sound films—“Dancing Feet" and “The Pageant of India.”
