Deadline
The deadline for filing local personal property taxes is May 1 and for the first time, a ten per cent penalty will be levied on late returns.
This year in Rappahannock, personal property taxes will be assessed on cars, trucks, wagons, motorcycles, water craft, airplanes, mobile homes and any other vehicles requiring a license.
Merchant's capital inventory must be reported but the assessment rate on inventory will be set at zero.
