Rappahannock County High School’s boys and girls track teams officially opened the new school track, Aldrich Field, with dual wins Monday in competition with Page County High School, Luray. The impressive score was 9024 in girls contests while the boys came up with a 66-61 win.
Many spectators came out in support of the teams and interest in the track, which ■was so named for Charles N. Aldrich who contributed much to the development and establishment of the oval. Revival
Revival services will be held at the Amissville Baptist Church April 26-May 1 each evening at 7:30. The evangelist will be the Rev. James Meade, pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church, Shiloh.
Rev. Meade is a native of Norfolk and is a graduate of the Naval Apprentice School in Portsmouth and the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to1 the former Christine Shannon Joyner of Farmville, N. C. and they have four children, Ray, Tim, Rod and Joy.
Special music will be provided and the public is invited.
