First-place finisher for the women was Laura Mink with a time of 48 minutes, 30 seconds. Mink is a secretary for the National Geographic Society in Washington, D. C.

Second place finishers - and winners of the Eva L. Smith memorial awards - were Frank Reynolds of Washington and Meryl Strange of Viewtown. Reynolds and Strange won the special awards for the first Rappahannock residents across the finish line.
