WHEN SHOULD THEY BE TREATED? It is important to understand the significance of flat feet Although they look cosmetically unattractive, their improper function is what is important. Flat feet work in a manner similar to a car's front end and when it is out of alignment and other parts of the car also tend to break down We feel that it is the improper functioning of the foot that leads to the formation of bunions, corns, and callouses. If treated early enough, these deformities can be prevented from occurring. Unless excessively severe, however, treatment is not started until the age of 2'/i years.
