The Rappahannock grand jury considered 32 indictments on Monday’s opening of the November term of circuit court, bringing back true bills for 25.
Herman Newman, Anthony Tyler, Robert Norko and Harriett P. Newman, all of Culpeper, were indicted on multiple charges of breaking and entering and grand larceny at the residences in Old Hollow of Clifford Lawson, Robert Johnson and Jeff Dwyer and Mark Rabbe.
The four defendants are alleged to be part of a burglary ring that operated in Rappahannock and Culpeper counties.
In Culpeper, Herman Newman has been charged with three counts of breaking and entering and two of grand larceny; Tyler with one ' count of breaking and entering and two of grand larceny and Harriett Newman with one count of breaking and entering.
Trials are set on four separate dates in November and December in Culpeper circuit court.
A jury trial is scheduled for Gary Allen Stuple of Front Royal on January 21, 1982. Stuple was indicted Monday on charges that he broke into Wakefield Service Station in Flint Hill on June 3 and stole goods valued at more than S200.
The grand jury brought back a true bill against James W. Pendleton of Amissville on charges that he feloniously
vehicle. Pendleton waived a jury and his arraignment and trial are set for December 31 at 9:30 a.m.
