24-hour Rock-A-Thon at the Food Services Department at Piedmont This event is a true test of endurance because it requires that a person rock in a rocking chair for 24 straight hours.
The purpose of this activity is not only to measure a persons stamina and endurance, but also to raise money for donating to the March of Dimes. This renown foundation, dedicated to the cause of helping to prevent birth defects, has consistently exercised generosity< with donations throughout the nation to medical institutions.
