Serving a ten year sentence, five years suspended, for distribution of PCP, Charles Longerbeam told the court he was eligible for parole last month but has not yet had a parole hearing. His escape attempt cost him 190 days of good time, according to Longerbeam.
The probation officer noted that Longerbeam had received an excellent progress report from the Department of Corrections. “It’s one of the better ones I’ve ever read,” DeBergh said.
Robertson imposed the minimum one year sentence on both men, noting that it would run consecutively to any other sentence.
