Ellis W. Bennett
Elhs Walker Bennett, 76, of Flint Hill, died Thursday, Jan. 22, in Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal
Mr. Bennett was bom Sept. 18, 1910, in Washington, Va., a son of the late James W. and Bertha Elliott
Bennett. He was a retired employee of the Culpeper Stone Co.
His wife Verlie Sisk Bennett predeceased him. Surviving are a son Paul Ellis Bennett of Stephens City,
two brothers, George P. Bennett and James C. Bennett, both of Front Royal, four sisters, Lillian B. Knight and Stella B. Payne of Front Royal, Annie B. Hawkins of Washington
and Reva B. Burke of Luray, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was conducted Sunday, Jan. 25, at the Flint Hill United Methodist Church by the
Rev. Merlin Shorb. Burial was in Flint Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Paul Bennett Jr., Brad Bennett, Jimmy Joback, Roger Murphy, Richard Settle and Emory Russell.
