Mrs. Edna Walker
Mrs. Edna Thornton Walker, 74, died Jan. 24 at Washington House, her home in Washington, Va.
Mrs. Walker was bora and spent her entire life at Washington House, where she and her husband operated Washington House Hotel from 1932 until 1950. She was noted for the beautiful flowers she grew in front of the house on the square in Washington.
A graduate of Strayer College, Washington, D. C., she was a member of the Washington Baptist Church, where she served as organist from 1932 until 1960.
She is survived by her hnahnnH Paul A. Walker, a daughter Mrs. Frances W. Eldred, Washington, Va. , a sister Mrs. Hilda Lavesque, Arlington, and three grandchildren.
A graveside service was conducted Jan. 27 at Washington Masonic Cemetery by the Rev. Earl Jarrell and the Rev. Jennings Hobson.
