Cenlel to
reissue
directory
Central Telephone Company of Virginia (Centel) is reissuing its 1967 Front Royal-area telephone directory, and residents of the Front Royal “636” and “636” and Washington “676” exchanges should begin receiving copies of the new directory by mail about Feb. 6.
W. P. Flippo III, Centel’8 area manager in Front Royal, said the company is reissuing the directory now because the initial version of the 1987 directory, which customers received in early January, did not contain listings for the SpenryviUe area due to a jointer’s error.
The revised version of Centel’s official telephone directory for the Front Royal and Washington exchanges will cany the code number 76346R on its spine so it can be readily distinguished from the earlier version.
Centel apologizes for any inconvenience customers may have experienced.
