RICHMOND — House of Delegates Minority Leader Raymond Guest Jr. is considering running for governor in 1989.
Del. Guest (R-Fauquier/Rappahannock/Clarke/Warren) said he is
seeking advice from fellow Republicans legislators and statewide GOP officials. “I’ve been asked by some
people if I’d consider it,” he said in an interview Tuesday. “I’m getting more people to say ‘go for it’ than I’m getting ‘don’t’.”
He said he has made no decision and would not until the fall at the earliest.
