IT IS GOOD TO FORGIVE
In Matthew 18:21 and 22, Jesus speaks of forgiveness, when Peter came to Him and said Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, until seven times: but, until seventy times seven.
And in Luke 17:3 and 4 Jesus is still teaching forgiveness when He said, Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
It is good to forgive others, if we want God to forgive us.
In Mark 11:25 and 26, Jesus said, and when ye stand praying, forgive if ye have aught against any that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
In Luke 23: and 34, while Jesus was still on the cross, He said, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.
Even while He was suffering so much, He was still able to remember forgiveness.
This shows and tells us, that, no matter what someone has done to us, as children of God, we should be able to forgive.
Ask God to help you find the answer you are searching for. He is always there when we need Him and we need Him every day, every hour, every minute and every second.
