Four people were inuured in a crash on Skyline Drive in the central section of the Shenandoah National Park Sunday afternoon.
William Cardwell, supervisory park ranger at the park, said that none of the park service personnel on duty Sunday afternoon were available Tuesday and a formal report of the investigation had not been completed and filed.
However, he said he was informed that a blue Saturn was northbound near milepost 40 on the Skyline Drive when it ran head on into a black Mercedes traveling southbound.
Ranger Cardwell said there were indications the driver of the Mercedes had failed to keep to his side of the road.
He said there were two occupants in each vehicle, all injured to some degree.
