It is also our intention to move forward with Crossroads in the fall, and with The Shepherds’ Play and Three Kings’ Play in December, as* suming adequate financial support continues to be forthcoming. . . -
The support we have received in the last two weeks has been nothing short of wondrous. Contributions were sent in by every member of the cast of The Shepherds’ Play, include ing many who did not really have any resources to spare. Generous donations were also made by many member of the communty who are members of Ki Theatre, or who had no previous connection with us. - 5
Perhaps the most heartwarming was a contribution of 25 cents eafch by Windham, Tiana and Maia Lucking, who took three quarters from their piggy banks and taped them to a piece of paper with a message which read: “We went to be in a play. Please stay alive.”
Although we are most gratified by the response to our appeal, we will necessarily be seeking substantial additional support from the Community and from other sources in the future.
We intend to expand, not reduce^ our performance programs and plan to announce proposed additions to the season very soon. ; I
Within the next weeks, we shall announce our budget for the upcoming fiscal year, together with our'annual report to the community on how their donations have been spent over the past year. It is our firm intention to permanently put Ki Theatre on a sound and businesslike financial footing, so that our contribution'to quality performing arts, open to all, can continue to grow in this wonderful community to which we belong.
