John Cooke
John “J.C.” Cooke, 58, of LucasviDe, Ohio, formerly of the Limeton community in Warren County, died Jan. 17 in Lucaaville.
Memorial services were conducted Sunday, Feb. 13 at the Limeton United Methodist Church with Rev. Ralph H. Crabill.
Mr. Cooke was bom Sept. 23, 1935, in BentonviUe, son of Marie Sours Cooke and the late Ira R. Cooke.
He was a retired U.S. Air Force veteran where he served in the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He had been employed with the U.S. Postal Service.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Portsmouth, : Ohio and the American Legion.
Surviving with his mother are his wife, Cheryl Conner Cooke; two sons, Sgt. John "Jay” Cooke III of Warrenton and Eric Cooke of Portsmouth; three brothers, Callie Cookie of Laurel, Md., Larry Cooke of Aroda, and Jeff Cooke of Limeton; five sisters, Janice Stollings of Limei ton, Jane Studley of Falmouth, Helen Cleary of Spring, Texas, Ronee Manuel of Front Royal and Charlene Collins of Huntly; a foster sister, Rhonda Henderson of Winchester and a grandson.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
