Special thanks to Mr. Frank McWhirt for donating a Christmas tree to the fire hall, Amissville Baptist and Amissville United Methoidst Churches. Their Christmas tree farm is Chestnut Hills Christmas Tree Farm on Route 611, just south of U.S. 211. Call 937-5461.
This is last year to purchase your Christmas tree from Captain and Mrs. Keim of Quail Call farm on Route 642. They have been in business for more than 30 years. The community appreciates their service, including donation of trees for sale by the ball teams (RAA) as a fundraiser. For more information call them at 937-4696. They will only be open this weekend and weekend of Dec. 17.
Glengary Christmas Tree Farm is located on Route 626 (Korea Raod). You may choose to have your tree dug. For more details, call the O’Hallorans at 937-4751.
Another Christmas Tree Farm in our area is Oak Shade, operated by James Mello. They are located on Route 611, near Route 229. Call 9375062.
Food baskets for the needy in our community are being sponsored by the Amissville Baptist Church, Bethel Baptist, United Methodist, and Ruritan Club. Anyone desiring to participate in this project may leave canned and boxed goods at Hackley’s Store or Mayhugh’s Store.
