Funeral services were held at the Hopewell Baptist Church in Sperryville on Saturday, Dec. 3 with the Rev. John Pendleton of Flint Hill officiating.
Interment was in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery in Sperryville
W.C. Thompson Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
Thomas Bailey, Sr.
Thomas William Bailey, Sr., 71, of Staunton, died Monday, Nov. 28 at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in Salem.
He was born July 27, 1923, in Culpeper, a son of the late Joseph T. and Elenor Baldwin Bailey. He was an army veteran of World War II .
He retired from the Waynesboro DuPont plant where he was employed for 37 years. He was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church and the Staunton VFW Post 2216.
He is survived by a wife, Dorothy W. Bailey; one son, Thomas W. Bailey, Jr. and one daughter, Mary B. Barcomb, both of Staunton.
Also surviving are four sisters, Lula Martin of Verona, Mattie Woodward of Richmond, Rosie Pullen of Washington and Laurie Calhoun of Culpeper; one brother,. James. R. Bailey of Staunton and two grandchildren.
He was predeceased by one brother, Joseph^. Bailey, Jr.
Graveside services were held Thursday, Dec. 1 at Augusta Memorial Park, Augusta County by Dr. Woodward D. Morriss, Jr. with rites by the Staunton VFW Post 2216.
Henry Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
