Help Foster
Children i With help from Junior, Brownie and Cadette Girl Scouts, the Department of Social Services, and generous Rappahannock residents, 50 foster or underprivileged children up through age 17 around the county will receive Christmas presents. A huge Christmas tree, donated by Fanning Baumgardner and decorated by the Girl Scouts, sits in the front room of the Rappahannock County Library. Those wishing to provide a gift can choose the age and gender from the ones provided on the tree, and return a wrapped gift to put under the tree no later than December 15. The choice of the gift and amount of money spent is completely up to the provider.
