Alice Porter
Alice Beckwith Freeman Porter, 80, died Wednesday, Nov. 16 at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
She was bom May 26, 1914, to the late Henry Brown Beckwith and Bessie Lawson Beckwith in Washington.
She was a native of Rappahannock County and was educated in the public school system.
She was married to the late Lawrence Freeman and the late Leroy Porter.
Mrs. Porter united with the Promise Land Baptist Church by baptism in 1929, where she remained a faithful member.
She leaves to cherish her memories seven children, Bessie F. Grigsby of Sperryville, Lawrence 0. Freeman of Montgomery, Ala., Dudley B. Freeman of Somerville, N.J., Robert B. Freeman of N. Plainfield, N.J., Donald L. Porter of Washington, John O. Freeman of Warrenton and Marilyn P. Price of Manassas.
Also surviving are three stepchildren, Lucy Porter of Washington, D.C., Jackie Porter of Woodville and Leroy Porter, Jr. of Front Royal; a foster son, Robert L. William of Hawaii; 24 grandchildren; 22 great-granchildren, nieces, nephs,
other relatives and friends.
Henry Aylor
Henry Aylor, 65, of Washington, D.C., formerly of Rappahannock County, died on Friday, Nov. 25 at the V.A. Hospital in Washington, D.C.
He was an auto mechanic.
Survivors include five sisters, Louise Porter and Ruth Pugh, both of Washington, D.C., Virginia
