Russell Greaver
Russell C. (Russ) Greaver Jr., of Culpeper died on Dec. 2 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Greaver was bom on Sept. 6, 1930, in Clifton Forge, to the late Russell C., Sr. and Susie Williams Greaver.
Mr. Greaver has been in Culpeper for the past 41 years. ,
He was an independent insurance agent for Nationwide Insurance Company for 25 years. Mr. Greaver is a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the United States Air Force for four years.
Mr. Greaver was a Virginia State Trooper for ten years in Culpeper and he was a charter member of the Virgnia State Police Alumni and past second division Representative for two years.
Mr. Greaver is survived by his wife of 41 years, Irene Fenn Greaver; four children, Russell C. Greaver III, his wife, Jessica and daughter, Vanessa of Overland Park, Kansas, Bonnie L. Brown and her husband, Greg and two children, Keenan and Ariel of Montclair, Dennis C. Greaver and his wife, Michelle and two children, Nicholas and Brittany of Henderson and Arthur E. Greaver and his wife, Sharon of Woodbridge.
He is also survived by one sister, Barbara Sue Kreynus of Mechanicsville.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at Found & Sons Chapel with the Rev. Hazel Aitken officiating.
Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery.
