Amissville Baptist will go caroling in the community on Dec. 17. Their Christmas Cantata and Children’s Play will be held at 6 p.m. on Dec. 18. There will be no Sunday School on Dec. 25; however, a worship service will be held at 10 a.m., not 11 a.m.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Hazel Fannon who died last week. Also, for the family of Mrs. Susie Brown Woodard.

Thanks to Charlie Priest, Bill Segrest, and Jerry Curtis for cleaning up a portion of U.S. 211 on Saturday.

Louise and Everett Smith enjoyed many family members for Thanksgiving Day dinner, including James and Nancy Wiles and Melissa, Roger Breckenridge, Bruce and Karen Williams, Randy Smith and sons Trey and Vernon, Robert and Tammy Van Pelt, Joey Smith and Diana Glascock, Bruce and Violet Utz and Lauren and Kevin from Harrisburg, N.C.

The Smiths also enjoyed a visit recently from an old Army buddy, Arthur and Alicia Idlefeldt from Cochecton, N.Y.
