will be another IBMA-honored group: The Emerging Artist of the Year: Lou Reid, Terry Baucom and Carolina. Well-known individually in the region for many years, they are making waves nationally with their sound. The Seldom Scene will also be there Friday with Mike Auldridge.
More IBMA winners will be at Graves’ Mountain on Saturday with the Osborne Brothers, including the Illrd Tyme Out which won the vocal group of the year award., Tony Rice, who was the guitar player of the year will be there with his unit. There also will be the ever-popular Nashville Bluegrass, whose fiddler Stuart Duncan was once again IBMA’s fiddle player of the year.
Concerts start at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, 3 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday. Three-day tickets will be sold at the gate for $50 or $12 for Thursday, $16 for Friday, and $22 for Saturday’s performances. *
Rough camping is, available only for three-day ticket -holders. Motorcycles and dogs are banned.
The lodge offers its renowned meals and excellent food on the festival grounds. Music lovers can enjoy spare ribs on Thursday, rainbow trout on Friday, and steak on Saturday as well as hamburgers, hot dogs, and barbecue, funnel cakes and other delicious foods served daily.
