The April 19 article, page A6 of the Rappahannock News on the Architecture Review Board (ARB) meeting was written in a manner that considerably softened Mrs. Eldred’s lengthy, acerbic and vituperative tirade — in which she used language that probably could not be printed in this paper.
Mrs. Eldred did not make a motion or file an official complaint but rather used the ARB meeting as a forum to air alleged complaints made to her as magistrate.
Therefore I was shocked and disturbed to see the headline on the front page of the May 17th issue “With Chairman Absent Architecture Board Has Conflict Free Meeting” which implies that I, as chairman, was responsible for the April 19th spectacle.
Anyone who has a legitimate complaint has a right to present it to the Board in a proper manner. Mrs. Eldred did not do this.
