Pierce Is Trig Star RCHS senior David Pierce took first place in the regional Trig Star competition sponsored by the Bull Run Chapter of the Virginia Association of Surveyors. He next completes at the state level. He received a $100 savings bond and expenses paid when he competes in the state competition at Old Dominion University in July. Contestants had two hours to complete the three-part practical surveying problem using trigonometry. David finished in 12 minutes.
