Tax Relief
The deadline for filing an application for tax relief for the low income elderly and disabled is July 1. An application must be filed each year.

New Area Code
Virginia will have a fourth telephone area code beginning July 1. The “757” code will be assigned to the southeastern Virginia portion of the current 804 area code region. The new 757 area code will serve Virginia’s Eastern Shore, the lower peninusla including Williamsburg, Newport News and Hampton, and the South Hampton Roads area including Norfolk, Portsmouth, Virginia Beach and Chesapeake.
