C.R. Walter
Charles Robert Walter, 98, of Charlottesville, died*June 5 after an extended stay at the Colonnades Health Care Center.
Bom Aug. 27, 1897, to the late John Amiss Walter and Sallie Belle Parr Walter in Amissville, he moved to Charlottesville in 1922.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Marjorie Walter of Cape Coral, Fla.
He is also survived by three grandchildren, Margaret Vandermark of Charlottesville, John Walter of Glen Alien, and Elizabeth Masaitis of Manassas; and six great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by a niece, Mrs. Katherine Riley of Amissville.
During his working years, Mr. Walter was a salesman for a number of wholesale companies. He was a Mason and a life-long member of tHS Amissville United Methodist ChurcfT, He was a veteran of World War 9. J
