To the Editor:
John Warner, the Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate, openly invited Democrats and Independents to enter the Republican primary and vote for him. Many of them felt that they owed him their thanks for having opposed right-wing extremists Mike Farris and Oliver North. Whether they voted for him in the primaiy or not, they should realize that the November election is not time for expressing thanks. The question now comes, which party will control the Senate; will President Clinton face support or gridlock? The future of our country is at stake.
