The torch has been passed at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, in Rappahannock County.
Father Albert Verbeke said his last Sunday mass at the parish June 9, arid Father C. M. Trinkle said his first ' Sunday, June 16. * Father Verbeke has retired to Ahnandale in Fairfax County. The parishioners have given him a round trip airplane ticket to Europe, and he is planning to go this fall. He has ■ many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews to visit. They are spread all over Europe, now, he said, not all are in his native Belgium. It will be the first time he has been back in 10 years.
