The enhanced 911 system in Rappahannock gets help to the caller quickly and efficiently.

When a 911 call comes into the dispatch center in the county Sheriffs Office, the dispatcher automatically and immediately knows the phone number of the caller. That phone number is all the dispatcher needs in order to know all she needs about the caller: street address, name, map location, specifics about the house and occupants (type of driveway, color of house, how many stories, how many occupants, any specific health information regarding an occupant, such as diabetes or emphysema, number and type of pets, or anything else that will help the rescue or fire department workers find the house quickly).
