My Favorite
Place
To the Editor:
If I had to choose my favorite place, I think it is my Aunt and Uncle's home in Amissville, Virginia. It is a very beautiful place.
As I walk out on the deck, I hear the birds chirping in the background. Looking up into the trees, I see bluejays and a cardinal. As I stroll back further on their property, 1 can hear the babbling creek.
In parts of the yard there are wet spots from the fain. It feels cold and muddy, but I don't mind. As I put my hand in the creek water, it turns to ice because it is so cold.
During the fall is when we usually visit my cousins. The smell of the.new fallen leaves, is unforgettable. We always have a bonfire at night, and in the morning I savor the smell of the smoldering campfire.
About an acre behind their house is a freshwater pond. My uncle will stock the pond next year with fish, and he plans on building a dock for his children. If you stand on the deck, you can see miles of the rolling
