Band selling citrus fruit

The Rappahannock High School band will have small bags of mixed fruit available at the Rappahannock Coop on Dec. 10 and 11 from 2 to 4:45 p.m. on Dec. 12 from 7 to 11:45 a.m. For more information call Sally Havstad at 987-9342.

Support group to meet

Christmas concert scheduled

The Rappahannock Elementary and High School Band will have a Christmas concert on Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. at the high school. The public is invited.

Christmas breakfast planned

The Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad Auxiliary is sponsoring an “All American Christmas Breakfast,” on Saturday, Dec. 12 at the Rappahannock Elementary School. Breakfast will be served from 7 to 11 a.m. Santa will be visiting between 9 and 11 a.m. Enjoy the company of your friends and relatives, and enjoy a delicious meal prepared by Pat Jenkins and Company. The meal will consist of sausage gravy, eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage, baked apples, pancakes, coffee and juice. Adult breakfast will be $5 and $3 for children six years and under. Christmas banquet scheduled

The annual Christmas banquet sponsored by the Washington Volunteer Fire Department will be held on Saturday, Dec. 12 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the fire hall.

Menu consist of appetizers, soup, salad, comish game hen, wild rice, vegetable, rolls, dessert. Wine, soft drinks, coffee and tea will be offered for drinks. Band Boosters to meet

The Rappahannock Band Boosters will meet Dec. 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the high school. The public is invited.

Fundraiser underway

The Rappahannock County High School Athletic

Boosters are beginning their main fundraiser of the year. For a donation of $20 you could win the grand prize of $1,000second place $750 and third place $250. Prizes will be given away at the Dec. 18 boy’s varsity basketball game. You do not need to be present to win. Proceeds benefit the athletes and the athletic department. “There are only 200 tickets available, so get yours now," said an organizer. Tickets are available from any booster member or at any home game.
