Edward Leroy Jenkins, 69, of Ruther Glen died Nov. 29 at MCV Hospital in Richmond.
He was born Aug. 6, 1929 in Rappahannock, a son of the late Jacob A. Woodward and Lottie Peyton Woodward.
He was retired from Virginia Department of Transportation. He was also a I retired minister of the former | Caroline Pines Gospel Church.
He is survived by his wife | Devolia Clatterbuck Jenkins of Ruther Glen; a daughter Sheryl J. Fejfar of Ruther Glen; four brothers Richard Woodward of Forrest, Va., Franklin Woodward and Douglas Woodward, both of Remington ‘and Jimmy Woodward of Culpeper; a sister, Shirley W. Campbell of Culpeper and his beloved “Smoky.”
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 1 at Clore-Geest Funeral Home in Culpeper with the Rev. David Childress officiating. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery.

Catherine Nash Cox, 78, of Fredericksburg died on Friday, Dec. 4 at Mary Washington Hospital.
She was born in Sperryville on Nov. 3, 1920.
Mrs. Cox was a retired supervisor with the loan department at the National Bank of Fredericksburg.
She was a member of Fredericksburg Baptist Church, Culpeper Baptist Church and a vQlunteer for Mary Washington Hospital.
She also did cataloging for rare coins and was knowledgeable about antiques.
Survivors include her husband Carl E. Cox Jr. of Fredericksburg; one son John “Franklin” Nash of Falls Church; one daughter Brenda Haislip of Stafford; one broth
