After reading the Nov. 25
front page article on the Scott trial, I feel compelled to respond for the benefit of all who were not present in the courtroom as the article does not accurately reflect what took place. The title states “Jury finds Scott guilty.” There is no mention anywhere in the article that this same jury found Scott not guilty of two charges brought against her. A more accurate title might have been “Jury finds Scott guilty on $3 charge.”
There is no mention in the article that Doug Baumgardner went tediously through the daily log and balance sheets, both which were used as evidence against Ms. Scott, and pointed out at least 20 inconsistencies between the two records. There is no mention in the article that Mr. Baumgardner kindly pointed out that the office staff responsibilities at RCES
