We should all feel some
shame that Governor James Gilmore, in the name of all the people of Virginia, set himself against the tragic decision of Mrs. Hugh Finn to stop the artificial means that prolonged her husband’s lifeless existence.
It is hard to decide whether to object more to his cruelty to Mrs. Finn, bit weakness in being unable to withstand the pressure of a radical “Christian" legislator, or his understanding so little of state law, after four years of being Attorney General of Virginia, that the Virginia - Supreme Court took only three hours to rule unanimously that it was none of his business.
Whose privacy will he invade next? Yours? Mine?
