David W. Streagle, a warrant officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, was graduated Thursday from the FBI National Academy at Quantico after completing a 12-week course. He is married to the former Elizabeth Latham of Amissville and they have two children, Shannon and Marc.

Boy Scout Pack 50 of Amissville has participated in several club activities over the past months. In October, 40 attended the Haunted House in Culpeper and in November a group of 23 enjoyed a skating trip to Culpeper. Plans for December include a hayride, bonfire and Christmas caroling. Jim Racer of Washington won the gingerbread house given away at The Village Cafe in Washington during the Colonial Christmas weekend. Mark and Ann Kolack, cafe owners, extended their congratulations. Ann Kolack is offering a class on how to create your own gingerbread house on Dec. 13 from 5-9:30 p.m.
