Jean Butler decided to continue as chairperson of the Washington Planning Commission, at least until Milton Herd’s Final Planning Report was reviewed. She previously had resigned her position during the turbulent Washington Tbwn Council meeting earlier in the month.
The commission reviewed the first 19 of the report's 47 pages during their monthly meeting on Nov. 30, as well as a letter added as a memorandum containing Herd’s own “subjective” recommendations. The commission members and the few attending town residents disagreed with some of his comments, but for different reasons.
