; ~ Meat cutter ’ James Robert Brady Sr., 59, of Flint Hill died Wednesday, Jan. 20 at Warren Memorial Hospital. , Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 23 at Flint Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Merlin Shorb. Burial fallowed in Flint Hill Cemetery. ‘ Mr. Brady was born Jan. 2$, 1939 in Flint Hill, son of AJice Lillard Brady of Flint fjill and the late Moffett H. Brady Sr. * He was a meat cutter for CJiant Food in Manassas and a member of the Flint Hill United Methodist Church. ‘ In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Loretta Williams Brady; two daughters, Diane Hecksher of New Jersey and Jeanette Mallory of Castleton; a son, Tony Brady of Flint Hill and five grandchildren.
Also surviving are five sisters, Louise C. McCulloch and Thelma Crane of Flint Hill, Irene.Hamilton of High Point, H-Ca Elizabeth Bennett of Front Royal and Ann Jones of Clermont, Fla. and three brothers, M.H. Brady Jr. of FliOt Hill, Charles Brady of Warrenton and Dick Brady of Oakton.
He was predeceased by a son, Jimmy Brady and a sister, Mary Brady Atkins.
Pallbearers were E.J. Pullen, Jack Hamilton Jr., Donald Williams, Michael Crane, Paul Bennett Jr. and Charles Brady Jr. I Honorary pallbearers were nephews. •; Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal was in charge of the arrangements.

! Born in Madison I Lottie Ruth Bates, 67, of Charles City, Va. died Monday, Jan. 18 at John Randolph Hosjiiital in Hopewell.
. She was born Dec. 5, 1931 in,Madison County to the late Newman Knighton and Fenton Lucille Frye Gibson.
She is survived by her husband, Harold E. Bates of Charles City; one daughter, Barbara Lewis Crews and her husband Michael of Chesterfield; two sons, Otis Gregory Lewis and his wife Monedia of Culpeper and Dennis Kyle Lewis of Chesterfield and three grandchildren.
Additional survivors includes four stepdaughters, Corliss Brown and Denise Bates of Chesterfield, Rhonda Bates and Kathy DeVaughn, both of Richmond and three step grandchildren.
She also leaves two sisters, Ida B. Gibson Holmes of Lignum and Marjorie Gibson Brock of Culpeper; one brother, Thomas E. Gibson and wife Violet of Culpeper, as well as other relatives, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, James N. Gibson and one sister, Mary Helen Lewis.
